Privacy Policy

We are a single kitchen, not a data business. We ask for what we need to cook your food and bring it to you, and nothing beyond that.

Who we are

Dhakai Pulao is a cloud kitchen operating from Kalyani, Nadia, West Bengal, India. This policy covers dhakaipulao.com and our online ordering page.

What we collect, and why

When you place an order, we ask for:

• Your name — so we know who we are speaking to.
• Your WhatsApp number — this is how we confirm the order, send you the total, and tell you when the food is on its way.
• Your delivery address and area — so we can find you.
• An Instagram or Facebook link (optional) — only so we can say hello there. Leave it blank and nothing changes about your order.
• A cooking request (optional) — whatever you would like us to try.

If you use the Zomato or Swiggy review links on our site, we ask for your name and WhatsApp number, and optionally your email, so we can stay in touch about Dhakai Pulao. This is entirely optional — decline and the review link still opens.

What we never collect

We never see your payment details. Payment happens by UPI inside your own banking or payments app. We do not collect, store, or have any access to your card number, bank account, UPI PIN or OTP.

We will never ask you for a PIN, an OTP, a card number or bank details — not on the website, not on WhatsApp, not on a call. Anyone who does is not us.

There are no accounts on this site, so there are no passwords or login records. We do not ask for your date of birth, gender, or anything else we have no use for.

Where your information goes

• Your order is sent as a message to our kitchen's Telegram, which is how the kitchen receives orders. It is covered by Telegram's privacy policy.
• Details from the review-link form are saved to a private Google Sheet that only we can open. It is covered by Google's privacy policy.
• Your conversation with us happens on WhatsApp, covered by WhatsApp's privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Nobody outside the kitchen sees it, other than the services listed above that carry the message.

Cookies and what your browser stores

Our ordering page keeps your cart in your browser's own local storage, so that refreshing the page does not empty it. That stays on your device and is never sent anywhere until you place the order. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Advertising and analytics

We use the Meta Pixel so that we can measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads actually lead to orders, and so we can show our ads to people who have visited this site. It sets cookies in your browser and shares your activity on this site with Meta, covered by Meta's privacy policy. You can opt out through your Facebook ad settings or your browser's cookie controls.

We also use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they use. It sets cookies in your browser and shares your activity on this site with Google, covered by Google's privacy policy. You can opt out through your browser's cookie controls or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Other services your browser contacts

Loading our pages makes your browser fetch a few things from elsewhere, and those providers will see your IP address as an ordinary part of serving them. This is how nearly every website works, but you should know:

• Google Fonts — for the typefaces.
• jsDelivr — for the animation libraries the homepage uses.
• Our hosting providers — who keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

If you tap through to Zomato, Swiggy, Instagram or Facebook, you have left our site and their own policies apply from that point.

How long we keep things

Order messages stay in the kitchen's Telegram for as long as we need them for our own records — to look up a past order, or to sort out a problem. Details from the review-link form stay in our sheet until you ask us to remove them.

Your choices

Message us on WhatsApp or email care@dhakaipulao.com and you can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you,
• correct anything that is wrong,
• delete it,
• or stop messaging you about offers.

You do not need to give a reason, and it will not affect your ability to order. We will act on it as quickly as we reasonably can.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle your information changes, we will update this page and change the date below. Please look at it again from time to time.
